Placido Domingo is great. If you believe many of the comments on Youtube, however, you would think that we’ve all been fooled.
Look, I know that opera inspires some strong feelings and opinions. But please think about a couple of things before you go shooting your mouth off on Youtube:
- Those are real human beings.
- It doesn’t make you look smarter to harshly criticize the failings of others who are really trying to do their best for you.
- It doesn’t feel good to receive a compliment that is at the expense of someone else. ie Wow, you are so much better than so-and-so.
- A single video does not represent the totality of someone’s artistic achievement.
- I dare you to try and do better…and then post it on Youtube.
